Since my last post, I’ve been a pretty busy guy. I’ve been working at my school doing a little demo so they can renovate the library/media center this summer.
Football practice too has begun. I remain optimistic for this year being under a new head coach and all. We as a team are just gonna have to work hard.
I also replaced smoothwall with Endian’s open source firewall called EFW. It seems more put together – although I think they disabled some featured to encourage the purchase of their commercial products, but I get what I need out of it. The web-interface is well done and the features out of the box are stable and useful. It takes a bit of getting used to, but after that you can do anything. I think you can visit the site at http://www.endian.com/en/community/.
There will be a Hackfest on June 21 from 11am to 5pm at ThinkTank. My Linux Users Group is sponsoring the “hack” fest / Launch Party for SUSE 11.
I know, a lot to take in, good luck!
Kevin
