An unique Monday

Well, today is the 2nd Monday of my Christmas break… I need to do something productive today so I can feel good about myself.

I have to read a novel entitled Dune over break for an assignment for English. Tonight I hope to get through at least a few chapters. It looks like a fairly easy read, but who knows until I start actually reading.

I did horrible last Saturday at the Griffith Superduals. 2-3. At least it’s better than I did last week.

Good day,
Kevin

I’m still alive

Finals are done, I got the last computer that needed to be repaired out of my basement, I’m free!

The finals on Monday were challenging, yet they were not as hard as I imagined them to be. So I think I did ok.

I upgraded servers, if you haven’t noticed. It sports more RAM and more luxurious hard drive capacity. So, enjoy!

Merry Christmas,
Kevin

Twitterin

So I have discovered a new sensation on the interweb – Twitter. Twitter is a micro-blogging system which enables its users to post small snippets about their current activities. You can then implant it into a website or some other type of application. I like the fact that I can update my Twitter from my cell phone via text message… it’s cool!

Anywho, if you are interested, click on the green box to the right hand side and follow me. Everytime it changes, it will inform you. I’ll do the same. I’m trying to start a Twitter fad amoung my peeps.

Take care,
Kevin

WOW is a palindrome

This week has been a week from hell.
It would seem that all of my teachers decided to give tests the few days right before finals to squeeze in that extra bit of material before we go on break. This means tests and assignments unlike anything I’ve ever seen in my life. But it’s ok, it will all be over soon.

Wrestling is going in my favor, I haven’t had a match since the last one I blogged about, so I’m still 8-2.
I hope that the people that are still on the team will improve in time. It seems that every practice I go to, less and less people show up… but idk.

I have had computer repair jobs lined up like crazy this week and I think I’ve finally caught the tail end of things. I have a few people to call back and reschedule things until after finals… that’s the way it has to be.

Other than that, this week I have a match at AHS against Bishop Noll on Tuesday and then a tournament on Saturday at Lowell. Check highschoolsports.net for more info.

TTYL,
Kevin

8 – 2

Yea, I had my first two losses of the season last weekend. Bring me down a little so I can jump back up.
However, I did win my match against Hobart this week, Tuesday it was, in the first period with a pin.

A lot has happened. This week I have five client computers to work on – hopefully the money I get from this will be some holiday spending money.

I don’t feel like talking.

6 – 0

Today was a stressful day – despite the fact that I had a late start to school today. I spent the extra hour we had until class began enjoying the tastes of McDonald’s and Panera in the school parking lot in the comfort of my minivan.

It seemed as soon as I stepped into the school building, however, all hell broke loose. I was yelled at by the section editor of the school newspaper because I apparently forgot to write a story and we publish fairly soon for a story to be this late… oh well… can’t be perfect at everything.

I had just spend the previous night trying to repair a scale that was damaged. This scale is the scale that we use for our weigh-ins for wrestling – and we had a meet tonight which we needed it for. I failed miserably, due to the only rational explanation that I fried my serial LCD screen which was necessary for the repair. So I had the burden of that on my mind.

Later on today, I had to work on a lab for my physics class. I am in a lab group with highly intelligent people, who know more than I do, but it seemed that I was the one to suffer through the cyphering… it hurt my brain. My teacher for this class appears to be trying to teach us problem-solving skills in the harsh environment of his classroom. To him I say, “It’s harsh!”

So we prepare for the wrestling meet that we had against Munster… washing mats, moving mats, weighing in, distributing equipment and warm-ups…etc… I’m really nervous at this point. I don’t know, but when I stepped on the mat, I think all the anxiety of this day was transformed into energy that I never thought I had, and I pinned my opponent in about the first minute of the first period. I weighed in at 174.6 and wrestled in the 189 weight class. My opponent weighed in at 188. I don’t know – but it was interesting. I am still undefeated with 5 pins.

I have a tournament on Saturday at Lake Central High School – it should be a good indicator of where I am at as a wrestler. I look forward to the challenge, but not the long hours. :) Come out and watch if you have nothing better to do.

That’s it for now,
Kevin
