Really now?
The new version of WordPress is really cool! It appears that I am able to format the text in many different colors.
Nice.

I’d like to inform everyone about a recent happening which has changed my life. I moved my server and hardware firewall downstairs and out of my room. It is so quiet in here, I  can hear myself think! It truly is amazing.

Check up on my Twitters as I have a twitterbug now… I’ve been tweeting a lot lately.

Have fun everyone,
kw

People

I tend to observe and analyze people a lot. And after all this time, I’ve figured something out – people are hard to read. Sometimes their actions do not match their outward behavior. One day, I’ll get that one right… until then… eh.

Good game AHS basketball! It was a close game, and despite the loss, it was a nail-biter. Coop, Pete, T-time, JMorgan, and Conner all had great plays. I hope sectionals goes well for them.

peace,
kw

Hey, it’s been a while since I’ve written. So i’ll just do a random write….

I have been using Linux since the end of 6th grade. That would make me a 6 year Linux veteran. I may seem old by the way I talk about it, but it’s only been 5 1/2 years at most. The desktop linux community has seen many changes in those 5 1/2 years. From a time when the desktop gui was kinda buggy, some how I managed to stay on track using various distributions and learning about linux.

I admit that I am a GNOME fan, but that doesn’t mean that I haven’t been following the achievements of the KDE desktop. Both of which, when I started, were primitive and had little usabliltiy as an everyday platform. However, that has changed, and it is easier than ever to use a Linux machine without having to really know it’s linux. The environment is very competative with that of a PC or even a Mac.

Now, I have an operational server running Linux, a hardware firewall that I built running Linux, and my laptop (my main machine) running Linux. I am so comfortable with it, that I actually have to relearn Windows when i sit at a school computer or a client’s computer. I’ve almost become one with the system as I drop to the command-line when I can’t figure something out, or if I just need to do that one thing that will give me total control (or at least the feeling of it).

I’ve become a more patient computer user, as I am still waiting for better wireless drivers to roll out… by then I’ll probably be writing them… oh well.. but that’s the beauty of it. I know that something will be done about a problem and that the Linux community is responding to the needs of its users. Truly amazing!

That’s enough ramblin for me,
Visit linux.org to learn more.

Peace. KW

Play it safe…

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/technology/7894476.stm

That is an article explaining the new Facebook terms of service agreement. It basically says that users may delete their accounts, but the information that they have left on other people accounts by way of comments, pictures, and other posts will still remain on. This is unlike the previous version of their TOS because it DOESN’T delete everything when the user chooses to terminate their account.

Facebook maintains that they have the right to do so because it affects the operation of their site. Really, there isn’t much we can do about this… so just be careful of what you post.

Dear God

I love God, I really do. But there are times that I just wonder why He makes me learn things the hard way.

Today I decide to reconfigure my server – something I’ve done several times…
I backed up, double checked, recalled my settings, burnt a new install disc and boom: off to the races.

This is my 6th time today trying to get everything up and running. Yea – somethings wrong (I think it’s one of the hard drives) and it’s been throwing all kinds of sticks in my spokes. SO yea…
It’s been a long day… hopefully I get everything operational by tomorrow.

Sorry for the inconvenience. Your prayers through this difficult time are appreciated.

Kevin
