I haven’t touched my bot lately. I kinda got caught  up somewhere between ordering new parts and what being constantly doing something. However, the other day, I did order some stuff that I needed to complete the project. As of right now, I’m actually thinking about building two bots.
One will be powered by the arduino I purchased some time ago. The other will be powered by a spare computer I have laying around. I plan on making that one a pretty cool one.

In case I forget, I’m gonna post what I want from the computer based model:

• Linux powered
• WiFi enabled
• Live webcam feed
• Webserver to display stats
• LCD – aux display
• Programmable interface –> arduino
• sensor pack
  • light
  • temperature
  • infrared
• carry a decent payload (50 pounds)
• voice synthesizer (recognition maybe???)
• parallel port interfacing

I don’t expect to get this all done in one night, but maybe by the end of my senior year. I’m gonna start dabbeling with the circuity today or tomorrow in terms of programming the paraell port under linux. And I’ll start looking for parts as well. I have a few printers that I can pull some motors out of and such… it should be fun.
