So,
I’m sitting here in my computer programming class wondering if people actually have nay concept of what a computer actually is. Most people don’t understand the purpose of a computer… to do the shtuff that we don’t want to do in the first place. Once a task is done once on the machine, it shouldn’t need to be recreated…

Before I forget what I did, I should probably document this solution for future reference.

Problem: My linux box cannot find any samba shares (the share coming from a specific XP machine in da basement.)

Solution: Add the IP address of the share server to the host file of my linux box client.

Just so I don’t forget…
